The Story
While caring for his forgetful mother, a son weathers the tides of change threatening his Gullah Geechee home and way of life.
In the Lowcountry, rising sea levels and increased storm threats continue to disproportionately impact Gullah Geechee communities through further displacement and loss of cultural assets. This film serves as an archival and educational tool to bring awareness to climate catastrophes experienced by the community.
HIGH WATER is currently in post-production.
